Events & Trainings

We provide community-based training, peer networking, and support.

Providers from all disciplines who serve children birth to five years and their families in Alameda County are welcome to attend training and networking opportunities at First 5. Continuing education units are provided for free to registered nurses, licensed clinical social workers, and marriage and family therapists at all qualified trainings.

Registration, Fees, and Location

First 5 Alameda County now uses HIGH5 to announce trainings and register participants. HIGH5 will allow you to register for trainings and keep track of courses you have attended. You will be prompted to create a HIGH5 account at registration, if you were not a previous ECC Online user.

Register online to attend. Registration opens two to four weeks before the training date. You will need to set up a user account and password. For technical assistance with registration, please contact the First 5 Helpdesk at (510) 227-6929. Registration is required for all trainings. There is no fee to attend our trainings.

Unless otherwise indicated, trainings take place online. The link to join a meeting will be sent to registrants the day before and an hour before the event.

Grievance Policy

While First 5 Alameda County goes to great lengths to assure fair treatment for all participants and attempts to anticipate problems, there will be occasional issues which come to the attention of the First 5 staff which will require intervention and/or action on the part of the staff. Please read First 5 Grievance Policy and/or contact Lea Yancey, or (510) 227-6973.
